The Heatmiser neoStat-e V3 is a smart thermostat from the IMI Heatmiser neo Series. It is designed for electric heating control and can also operate as a time clock. In thermostat mode, it controls heating based on sensor readings, programmed comfort levels, and user settings. In time clock mode, it controls timed output schedules.
The official manual covers installation, mode selection, neoHub pairing, mesh network setup, temperature display, clock setup, comfort levels, temperature hold, keypad lock, frost protection, holiday mode, optional features, recalibration, error codes, floor probe settings, wiring diagrams, factory reset, and Heatmiser support details.
What Is a Programmable Room Thermostat?
A programmable room thermostat combines two functions:
| Function | Purpose |
| Programmer | Sets heating ON/OFF times based on the user’s schedule |
| Room thermostat | Measures temperature and switches heating on or off to reach the set temperature |
The manual explains that setting the thermostat to a higher temperature does not heat the room faster. Heating speed depends on the design and size of the heating system. For better energy control, users should find the lowest comfortable temperature and let the thermostat follow the programmed schedule.

What Is a Mesh Network?
Heatmiser neoStats use a mesh network. This lets compatible neoStats send and receive signals through other thermostats on the network until the signal reaches the neoHub.
This helps improve:
- Communication range
- Network stability
- Smart control reliability
If the mesh symbol disappears, the thermostat has lost connection to the neoHub.
Approach Sensor
The neoStat-e uses proximity detection. When someone approaches the thermostat, the touch keys and backlight turn on automatically.
This makes it easier to adjust the temperature or timer in a dark room.
