This setup step is important because the selected system type controls how heating, cooling, fan, and valve outputs operate.
Pairing the neoHub
The neoStat-HC can connect to the Heatmiser neoHub for smart app control.
neoHub Setup Steps
- Connect the neoHub to the router using the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the neoHub power supply.
- Download the neoApp.
- Register or sign in to an account.
- Select Add neoHub in the app.
- Follow the in-app setup instructions.
Once the neoHub is paired to the account, the next step is adding the neoStat-HC as a zone. The app will ask for a zone title and start a pairing countdown.
Pairing the neoStat-HC

The manual notes that the neoHub only needs to be paired to the account once. Additional neo devices can be added from the app using the Add Thermostat option.
What Is the Mesh Network?
Heatmiser neoStats use a mesh network. This means compatible neoStats can send and receive signals through other thermostats on the same network until the signal reaches its target.
This helps:
- Extend communication range
- Improve network stability
- Keep thermostats connected to the neoHub
If the mesh symbol disappears, the thermostat has lost connection to the neoHub.
Approach Sensor
The neoStat-HC includes an approach sensor. When someone moves close to the thermostat, the touch keys and backlight turn on automatically.
This makes the thermostat easier to use in darker rooms or low-light areas.
Temperature Display

The neoStat-HC normally shows the ambient room temperature. If wireless remote sensors are paired through the neoHub, the thermostat can show an averaged temperature between the thermostat and paired sensor.
View Set Temperature in Heat or Cool Mode
- Press Up or Down once.
- The set temperature appears.

Feature Menu Highlights
Switching Differential
This controls how far the room temperature can drop before heating turns on again. For example, with a 1°C differential and a 20°C set temperature, heating turns on at 19°C and off at 20°C.
Deadband
Deadband applies in Auto heat/cool mode. It creates a gap between the heat and cool set points to stop heating and cooling from working against each other.
Constant Fan
When enabled, the fan runs between low, medium, and high during heat or cool demand. After demand ends, the fan continues at low speed. When disabled, the fan turns off after demand ends.
Cool Air Proof
This feature delays the fan when heating starts, giving the coil valve time to open before air starts blowing.
Valve Cycling
Valve cycling runs each valve for 5 minutes if the outputs have not operated within a set period. This helps keep valves moving after long idle periods.
How to Adjust Feature Menu Settings
- Scroll to the Power icon.
- Press and hold Tick for 3 seconds.
- When SETUP is highlighted, press Tick once.
- Use Up/Down to move through features.
- Use Left/Right to change the selected feature value.
